Dr. Stephen E. Small
to the Cherry Hill Center
Dr. Small was inspired to become a doctor after sustaining a significant burn as a child that required multiple surgical procedures. His goal is to meet the unique needs of people and obtain beautiful but natural results. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction and honors at Pennsylvania State University and then a medical degree with honors at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He achieved the highest score nationally for the surgical in-service exam multiple times and was also awarded for clinical skill, research and leadership. He completed a Burn and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center. He furthered his Plastic Surgery training as chief resident at Ohio University, South Pointe Hospital, which is part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
Dr. Small is board-certified by The American Osteopathic Board of Surgery specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery . He also lectures nationally and has published many medical articles.
He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending his spare time with family, training for marathons, practicing jujitsu and fishing.
